A major legal battle has begun as medical doctor and model Chiaky Otuteye takes pageant organizers to court. The lawsuit follows the sudden withdrawal of her Miss Intercontinental Ghana title, sparking a national debate on pageant standards and contracts.

The world of Ghanaian pageantry is facing intense legal scrutiny as Chiaky Otuteye, the crowned winner of Miss Intercontinental Ghana 2025, has officially filed a lawsuit against the pageant organizers, Cloudz Entertainment. The suit comes months after her coronation on November 8, 2025, following a sudden move by the organizers to strip her of the title.

According to the plaintiff, the organizers informed her in a closed-door meeting that she did not meet certain "international standards" of poise and charm required for the global stage in Egypt. Dr. Otuteye, who is also a medical professional, argues that these claims are entirely subjective and constitute a breach of the contract she signed upon winning the crown.

The lawsuit seeks to challenge the legality of her disqualification and the subsequent appointment of a runner-up to represent the country. Legal experts suggest this case could fundamentally change how pageant contracts are structured in Ghana, providing more protection for winners against arbitrary decisions by organizers.

Cloudz Entertainment has yet to release a formal statement regarding the specific evidence of their claims, but the court proceedings are expected to draw significant public attention to the lack of transparency in the industry. For now, the "Queen of Hearts" is trading her sash for a legal brief as she fights to reclaim her title and reputation.
