Ghana’s young people are demanding opportunities, and the Northern Regional Minister says it’s time for action. Practical programs and jobs could change the future for the region’s students and graduates.

The Northern Regional Minister has urged government and private sector stakeholders to create more jobs and skill-building programs for young people. With youth unemployment and underemployment rising, he emphasized that practical initiatives are key to economic empowerment.

He called for vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and mentorship programs to help students and graduates transition into the workforce successfully. According to him, engaging young people in productive work is not only vital for their personal growth but also for the region’s overall development.

Local leaders and youth organizations have welcomed the call, highlighting that collaborative efforts between government, private sector, and civil society are needed to implement impactful programs.

The Minister also stressed the importance of digital skills and modern vocational training, noting that technology and innovation can create new opportunities for the region’s youth.
